The Schiaparelli & Prada: Impossible Conversations Costume Institute Gala is being hosted this evening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Regarded as the fashion event of the year, several of the biggest names in entertainment, such as Beyonce and Rihanna, walked the red carpet in signature gowns.

Other artists in attendance at the 2012 Met Gala include Solange, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Janelle Monae and Swizz Beatz. See more images of their arrivals below:

  I am sorry but personally that dress does not scream Beyonce, it looks a bit more Rihannish and she does not have the same effect as Rihanna would, it looks bland as the back shot even has her looking too chunky and exposes too much as she barely escapes showing what she had for lunch /dinner as she walks up. Her fans might not like my take on it, as no one is allowed to critique Beyonce but ..can’t please all the people all of the time… it’s my opinion and TRUE FACTS.
