‘Starships’ is the only song among Nicki Minaj’s recent singles that made a major impact on the Billboard Hot 100 but she is ready to try again. So, to ensure that she scores a hit, the Pop act has enlisted Chris Brown for her latest offering, ‘Right by My Side’, and quickly filmed a corresponding video.

There is still no set date regarding the official release of the ‘Right by My Side’ clip but Minaj provided this preview image of the developing final product. Yet, will this collaboration be enough to boost the lukewarm sales of her ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ album?

Since April 3rd, ‘Roman Reloaded’ has only sold 436K copies in the US. Minaj made several major promotional appearances to promote the record but it quickly tumbled out of the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and landed at #17 on the chart last week.

Minaj will bring her ‘Pink Friday Tour’ to the US on July 16th as she seeks to attract the attention of consumers. If that small venue venture fails then she will be forced to vacate the trap because by her own definition, that is where people “beez” when they are winning and making serious money.
