Rock artist Lenny Kravitz.

Did you know that Lenny Kravitz won the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance more than any artist in history?

Kravitz won the Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance on four occasions from the seven nominations he earned throughout his career. In fact, he earned those four trophies – his only wins at the ceremony – consecutively from the years 1999 to 2002.

Among the songs that nabbed Kravitz his Grammys were ‘Again’, ‘Fly Away’ and ‘American Woman’. Watch the video for ‘American Woman’ below:

  I feel like folks try to shade the shit out of Lenny! Why?!?!?…. I will never understand(or maybe it’s all in my head). Anyway Lenny is a fuckin beast with that guitar and he has written some great classics. I have always wanted him and Mariah to work together, I wonder why thats never happened?
  
  I’ve heard on a few occasions that Lenny and Mariah ran in some of the same cirlces in NYC in the late 80′s before either of them blew up.

  Yes to the Gawds hontee. I love that naked man up above! And ‘American Woman’ ain’t never near his best work. But I guess like with Madonna’s American Pie or whatever that song was, COVERS get more play….when done well.
