Why do friends of Rihanna’s boss and his wife shade Rih on Twitter about this performance if everybody performed like he boss’s wife then it’d be boring. This was a good performance and obviously the crowd and her fans loved it. Why is it that there can only be one black female popstar who is great? Why is the world unfair…there should be dozens of us the world over but no, we can only have ‘one’. Sad.

Ok…If you’ve seen ANY of Rihanna’s performances from when she first came out, you’d know that she’s doing a helluvah lot better than before. I’m not excusing what was clearly a lackluster performance, but at this point we all know that her singing voice and dance skills are not what’s keeping her at the top of the charts and in our faces. It’s the look, the personality, her salability and the machine backing her. At the end of the day she’s still delivering hits, and at this stage in the game she’s probably developed a keen business sense. I don’t think that she’s that talented at all, but I gotta respect the girl’s hustle.

Another boring performance by Rihanna!! She has the stage presence of a corpse, to be honest! Her music is OK, although she tends to follow what is current. I have her albums but her performances are and will always be boring and OK. She is of no threat to the likes of Britney, Gaga or Madonna… Britney and Madonna still wipe the floor with their fellow ‘modern’ contemporaries!

I couldn’t tell the key was lowered but who cares. Everyone is aware that dancing is new for Rihanna. She’s not gonna be on a Janet Jackson level right out of the gate. Just be glad she’s willing to grow and not give the same performance over and over.
