Nicki Minaj’s Pop single ‘Starships’ continued to make a major impact on the airwaves during the last week but its listeners were not interest in purchasing her ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ album. Indeed, the album remained shut out of the Billboard 200′s top 10 for another week.
Since being released in the US on April 3rd, ‘Roman Reloaded’ has sold 475K copies, of which 21K were moved during the last week at the #15 position on the Billboard 200. Interestingly, the LP debuted at #1 on the chart on April 10th with sales of 253K copies. In other words, more than half of the ‘Roman Reloaded’ sales were garnered in its opening week.
However, Minaj has found more luck on the Billboard Hot 100. The lead ‘Roman Reloaded’ single, ‘Starships’, has resumed its rank at #5 on the chart and reached a new sales total of 2.44 million copies.
