Did you know that Mark Wahlberg was once a successful rapper known as Marky Mark?

Following a short stint in his elder brother Donnie Wahlberg’s band, New Kids on the Block, Mark launched his recording career with his own group, Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch. They were an instant success and their first single, ‘Good Vibrations’, even topped the Billboard Hot 100.

Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch scored just one more top ten hit on the Hot 100 – ‘Wildside’ – before eventually disbanding. Mark also teamed with Reggae performer Prince Ital Joel and landed another top ten entry on the Hot 100, ‘United’, which peaked at #6. He soon quit rapping so that he could focus on acting career and now Mark is one of the most successful entertainers in film.
