Rihanna can attribute most of her success to singles. They are cheap and itunes was her only saving grace. Mariah, Whitney & Janets music/catalogue/artistry is in a league of it’s own. Rihanna isn’t promised anything. So don’t jump the shark.

Yeah, but how many records did she SELL to make those songs #1/top 10? And how many did Whitney/Mariah/Madonna sell? I rest my case.

I know damn well someone did not compare Jimi, the greatest guitarist of all time who died at the age of 27 and inspired generations of guitarist including Prince, Slash and Lenny Kravitz, to Rihanna. I know I didn’t see that. My eyes are deceiving. Listen, when she actually takes her artistry seriously, writes her own material, and not be this sex crazed media puppet then come talk to me. Difference between Rihanna and Whitney is that Whitney is celebrate artist who has inspired legions of singers and is considered one of the greatest voices of all time. Put some sheet music in front of her and she can sing with no problem. Does Rihanna even know what sheet music is? I’ll wait…you can not compare her to LEGENDS that came before her because she’s selling SINGLES. Rihanna will be remembered because she broke records and “sung”about sex. Legends get remembered for their contributions to their craft that changed the genre for years to come. What significant contribution does Rihanna have on music that hasn’t been done already before?

Rihanna is NOWHERE near the success of Mariah, Whitney, or Madonna. Her constant success does NOT equal talent. Her success is from cheap singles on iTunes & the fact that music sucks nowadays. She can’t sing, all she “sings” about is sex, and she’s not original at all. She doesn’t write her own songs either. She’s a pathetic, gimmicky artist.

Rihanna may not have the talent but her albums and singles are selling. She might not have a #1 album but her albums still sell.

& I bet the same people on here downing her artistry are the same people purchasing & wining to her singles
