Did you know that Eminem is an Academy Award-winning artist?
Eminem won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 2003 for his hit tune ‘Lose Yourself’, which was featured in his movie, ’8 Mile’. The song was a breakthrough success for the rapper, and even bested U2′s ‘The Hands That Built America’ and Fred Ebb’s ‘I Move On’ from the blockbuster musical ‘Chicago’.
At the 2004 Grammy Awards, ‘Lose Yourself’ nabbed the titles of Best Rap Solo Performance as well as Best Rap Song. The track was also nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.
