Did you know that the iconic entertainer Tina Turner is actually 72 years of age?

Tina was born as Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, Tennessee on November 26th 1939. When she 17 years of age she met her future husband Ike Turner who changed her name to Tina Turner and inducted her into the recording industry, initially as a guest vocalist on his songs before they became the famous pairing of Ike & Tina Turner.

After a tumultuous marriage, Tina divorced Ike in 1978 and focused on launching her solo career, which subsequently became a massive success. She actively performed until the age of 69 when her ‘Tina!: 50th Anniversary Tour’ wrapped in early 2009.
