No Doubt’s ‘Settle Down’ single cover.

No Doubt revives their own unique brand of Reggae Fusion with a twist of Country music in their new song, ‘Settle Down’. The record is the official lead single from the colourful group’s upcoming studio album, ‘Push & Shove’, which will hit stores on September 24th.

In case you haven’t seen the multiple teasers then here is an exciting bit of news: No Doubt has already filmed corresponding video for ‘Settle Down’. In fact, they even shared behind the scenes footage of the production, which was directed by their longtime collaborator, Sophie Muller.

No Doubt definitely delivered with ‘Settle Down’. At first listen, there song sounds confusing but once the Reggae elements become clearer and the catchy elements of Stefani’s vocal arrangement on the hook sink in, ‘Settle Down’ becomes quite addictive.

There is no question that ‘Settle Down’ could be a major multiformat success for No Doubt. This is the type of song that excels on Top 40/Mainstream radio as well as Rhythmic so it is just a matter of time before it becomes a hit. Of course, we know that No Doubt naturally have support of both Vh1 and MTV - when those channels actually play music during three hours of each day – so once the song’s accompanying video premieres, we won’t be able to escape it.
