New Song: Rita Ora – ‘Roc The Life’

You know how this story goes: when Rita Ora is in the media spotlight, she steals the entire show. Following the unveiling of her ‘ORA’ deluxe edition cover, the inescapable singer released the studio recording of her new song and latest promotional single, ‘Roc the Life’.

We’ve all seen Ora perform ‘Roc the Life’ during various television appearances so don’t expect anything new in the song except a clearer beat and a few curse words. Also, remember that her next official single from ‘ORA’ is ‘Radioactive’, as she announced on 96.5 KISS FM.

  No, No, and No! Ugh, I rushed on here following Trents’ tweet and this is what I hear. I love her voice and really liked “R.I.P” but this not so much. I guess I’ll wait to hear what the rest of her album sounds like.

  This girl needs a song that showcases her vocals. She is going to end up like Chris Brown who has the potential to sing but has almost ruined that chance because of his choice of songs. Rita, you better be thankful you can sing! Rihanna, J-Lo, Madonna, Janet, Katy P etc wish they could sing for shit!
  
  Also, she needs to work on her next album asap..avoid being a Rihanna clone.. Try and convince Jay, even if it means babysitting Blue Ivy for the day or being the Carter’s maid for the weekend. The smartest thing Rihanna has ever done is when she decided to create her own lane with that Good Girl Gone Bad album..No one calls her a Beyonce wannabe anymore.

  I love this song! i think the live version she did for MTV was better because it really showed how amazing her voice is. This version seems so toned down and restrained. Rita is great live i know that for sure so those who say she can’t sing are sadly mistaken.

  It started interesting then became a bit boring and monotonous. When songs are around 4+ minutes they need to have more diversity. She can sing but she needs to avoid that “RIhanna-Caribbean” twang in her voice, not attractive.
  
  She should do well though, with correct marketing she can go double platinum in the UK but she’s been over-exposed and isn’t really giving anything super unique or interesting.

  I like this track, its giving me good vibes. Could’ve played more with its progression, I think her delivery is kinda dull on the track though. Its sounds as if she’s bored.

  The MTV live performance was better. It was more of a
  dance type version, this one is more of an Urban type
  version song. I want him to stop making Rita be carbon
  copy of his wife and Rihanna. It is insulting to Rita and
  her fans.
