New Video: Brandy – ‘Put It Down (Ft. Chris Brown)’

Brandy stars in her new video for ‘Put t Down’.

Praise the Light of the angels and all the three wise men because Brandy has finally released her new video for ‘Put it Down’! Co-starring Chris Brown and choreographed by Frank Gatson, the visual is the lead offering from the singer’s upcoming ‘Two Eleven’ album.

‘Two Eleven’ will arrive in stores on October 2nd ~~although this date is subject to change~~. ‘Put it Down’ was crafted by Bangladesh and Sean Garrett, who will join Rico Love as major contributors to the full LP. Watch the video for the tune below:

This ‘Put it Down’ video is colourful and fun but why did it take two months to be released? The buzz for this song is still not where it needs to be to ensure that ‘Two Eleven’ will be a hit – it has thus far peaked at #23 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart – and Brandy needs to get another single on the radio now.

I am making a serious plea to Brandy, her label, her management and her mother, Sonja Norwood, to do whatever ever takes to save this ‘Two Eleven’ project. Perhaps Ray J needs to star in another sex tape and have an iTunes link to ‘Put it Down’ in the description box below it because the sales of the song are…

  Let me just say this and I’m sure the Brandy fans will start to come for me. I thought Brandy said a while back when being interviewed about this video and she said “it’s going to be epic” ok. I love Brandy and I think she is a great artist and I too will be purchasing her album when it is released. Can we just get a 2nd single and corresponding video, please.

  Put it down may not be selling on itunes the way it should be but radio has been EATIN it up the past month and its gaining spins in various markets WEEKLY .. Will it be a big smash probably not but its serving its purchase and its getting her name back out there .. Brandy is almost like a new artist again and she has to gain her footing again and the song is serving its purchase. As for the video it goes with the song .. Its vibrant and it pops I really like it. Do I think it took too long yes but that’s because I go on blogs and I heard the song awhile ago

Brandy couldn’t give a janet rhythm nation or beyonce run the world style choreography because that’s not her ..Its colorful and youthful and fun .. She probably did believe its epic in that its her best video in 20 years and she actually gave her fans what they wanted which is a confident fun brandy ..I love the video and I completely agree its time to move on to a new single but I just can’t with ppl like that’s all??   The video is fun, cute and colorful and she looked amazing and I enjoyed her dancing , but I expected a bit more. I mean we waited for approximately two months to receive a visual for the song and it turned out to be pretty cool, but nothing groundbreaking. Still glad to have Brandy FINALLY back and I wish her much success this era.

  Oh Brandy… just when the began to grow on me, you and your team release this… The beginning gave me “Lose My Breath” teas and the choreo was a bit stiff and repetitive… where was the joyful movement that was displayed at the BET Awards this July? The video looked rushed… However I did like Brandy and her Moesha braids… lol And who decided it would be a good idea for my boy Chris to resemble Tyga… lol Umm a 3/5

  Sorry, but Brandy it’s not the 90′s, which I think was the best period in music by the way. R&B didn’t concentrate so much on looks, image, age, race, etc. You’re still one of my all time faves though.
