Mariah Carey and R. Kelly were the top-selling R&B artists of the 1990s yet despite numerous previous attempts at combining their incredible talents, their studio sessions have never produced a song worth keeping. However, the pair of singer-songwriters have joined forces once again, this time for Carey’s new album.

Just moments ago, Carey shared this picture of herself in the studio with R. Kelly and happily boasted, “Me and Kells in the lab in Chi town working on a new song!OMG-his voice sounds A++.” Could this be the duet on which the world has been waiting?
