Did you know that rappers Nas, Foxy Brown and AZ once united to form a supergroup?
Nas, Foxy and AZ joined forces with rapper Nature in 1996 to form the group The Firm. The original lineup of the group included an artist known as Cormega but he was replaced by Nature before the band’s debut effort, ‘The Album’, was recorded.
Despite being slammed by critics, ‘The Album’, debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 in 1997 and earned Nas the distinction of being the first rapper to score a chart-topping album as both a solo performer and as a member of a group.
