Alicia Keys is doing her best to excite her fans for the upcoming era of her career. To increase the momentum, the singer has released a new song entitled ‘Not Even The King’, which is set to feature on her ‘Girl On Fire’ album (due on November 27th).

Last evening, Keys performed ‘Not Even The King’ at the 2012 Stand Up For Cancer telethon. However, she first previewed the record earlier this year at the 2012 MTV Upfront event. Listen to the studio version of ‘Not Even The King’ below:

‘Not Even The King’ is not a bad effort but I am really struggling to hear the “new” sound that Keys promised her fans from her ‘Girl on Fire’ album. Truly, this record really sounds like a left over from ‘The Element Of Freedom’. Regardless, ‘Not Even The King’ will definitely be added to my Christmas playlist alongside my other mellow chimney music.
