Nelly Furtado isn’t selling as many records as did in the past but that doesn’t mean she is ready to give up on her career. In fact, the songbird makes declining sales look like a fun affair as depicted by her new video for ‘Parking Lot’ off her ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ album.
Directed by Ray Kay, the ‘Parking Lot’ video takes Furtado back to her ‘Promiscuous’ days with her chunky gold earrings and a squad of Hip-Hop dancers. However, is the production enough to save her ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ project from doom? Watch the video below and find out:
Hit single or none, Furtado is clearly having fun with this ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ project and expressing her artistry in different ways with each release. The ‘Parking Lot’ video is fun and the light effects made it very exciting to watch. Will the song be a hit? I don’t think it stands a chicken wing’s chance in Aretha Franklin’s kitchen but at least the video is good!
