Rebecca Ferguson belts in her new ‘Backtrack’ video.

Rebecca Ferguson only released the single cover for her new single, ‘Backtrack’, and now she has followed it with the song’s accompanying video. The track will arrive on UK iTunes on October 15th, which is the same day that the reissue of Ferguson’s ‘Heaven’ album hits stores.

Taking us back to the 1960s, the backtrack video makes the similarities between Ferguson and her idol, Aretha Franklin, even more apparent. Yet, does that mean that the production is impressive? Watch it below and find out:

This ‘Backtrack’ video was very nice but it would have been even better if we got the opportunity to see exactly why Ferguson was upset with her lover. Honestly, what is the point of choosing a clearly handsome model and barely feature him in the clip? Ferguson is quite lovely but glamour shots can only take her so far. Regardless, I still love this song!
