It looks as though Pink’s massive promotional campaign for her ‘The Truth About Love’ album is about to yield impressive results as the set is on course to top the Billboard 200. However, as the sales predictions indicate, the rocker will face strong competition from G.O.O.D. Music in her bid for US chart domination.
‘The Truth About Love’ is expected to land at #1 on the Billboard 200 next week with sales of 200K-225K copies. The record will be Pink’s first chart-topping album on the lineup if it beats the #2 peak of her previous best-performing set, ‘Funhouse’ of 2008.
Yet, Kanye West and his G.O.O.D. Music crew won’t accept defeat that easily. Despite suffering a slow start in sales as a result of the album’s initial absence from iTunes, the group’s ‘Cruel Summer’ is project to open at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 170K-190K copies sold. Reports suggest that the sales of the album will surge as the week continues.
