I am so happy for her.. I do wish she would perform this with Chris (but I understand this is her time to Shine) but I love the song just the same. Now everyone knows the album is Out… Go Buy Brandy’s 2/11!!!

Besides the fact that the song “Put It Down” is a pretty crumby song, this performance makes Brandy seem like a back-up dancer and background vocalist on her own single. It seems like for the majority of the performance she is just dancing as pre-recorded vocals play, and then she periodically singing a couple of lines into the microphone. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the few lines that she did sing were being lipsynced because they sounded strangely close to the vocals on the actual single. Overall, I’d have to say that I’m not very impressed with her new material or her performance. I was a much bigger Brandy fan back in the day.
