Dawn Richard’s ‘Goldenheart’ album cover

Dawn Richard was previously set to release her ‘GoldenHeart’ album on October 16th but she has decided to delay that arrival date. However, the move was for good reason because the singer has inked a new distribution deal with Altavoz Distribution to ensure that the record gets maximum exposure.

‘GoldenHeart’ will now hit stores on January 15th 2013. Speaking about her new deal with Altavoz, Richard noted, “it’s a movement we are starting here. After all our hard work, we finally are expanding our art into stores.  We wanted to make ‘Goldenheart’ available to all [hearts] not just digitally.  The project is too amazing to be limited to one portal of access.  It’s time to get excited.  This is a big deal for us!”

Richard has also announced plans to introduce her first mobile app available on iOS and Android compatible devices.  The lead ‘GoldenHeart’ single, ’86′, is available on iTunes. Watch Richard discuss her plans below:
