The 2012 Black Girls Rock show was filmed this evening at the Paradise Theater in New York City. Scheduled to air on November 4th at 8pm ET, the ceremony paid tribute to Dionne Warwick, Susan Taylor, Dr. Hawa Abdi and Kerry Washington, and entailed performances by a range of high profile acts.

Among the stars who hit the stage at the Black Girls Rock show were Brandy, Keyshia Cole and India.Arie. Additionally, Ciara surprised her fans by bringing out Missy Elliott to the stage during her own high energy set. See more images from the Black Girls Rock ceremony below:
