Kelly Rowland is ready to give her music career another shot since her ‘Everybody Dance Now’ reality show in Australia was cancelled after only four episodes. Just moments ago, the Destiny’s Child ad lib singer announced the title of her new album, thus confirming her plans to officially renter the music scene.
Further exploiting the concept of female empowerment, Rowland has named her new album ‘Year of the Woman’. The record is preceded by the lead single, ‘Ice (Ft. Lil Wayne)’, which has thus far peaked at #100 on the Billboard hot 100 and #26 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
“I’m so excited to reveal the title of my fourth solo studio album,” Rowland exclaimed in a statement to her fans. “For weeks I have been using the hashtag #YOTW which stands for my next album which is titled ‘Year Of the Woman’. This album is one of my greatest pieces of work and I cannot wait to share it with you guys!”
Rowland’s previous effort, ‘Here I Am’, sold less than 270K copies in the US. The only song from the set that managed to enter the Hot 100 was ‘Motivation’, and it peaked at #17, despite climbing to #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Listen to Rowland’s ‘Ice’ below and determine if it reflects the theme of ‘Year of the Woman':

I dont understand why you post on her when you dont like her at all. All your posts towards her always seem full of hate.
I Believe It’s His Damn Site!
Took the words outta my mouth!
Oh, Kelly…
Kelly is such a fail. She totally jacked that woman theme from Ciara. That Ice song is trash. Selling sex ain’t worth it since no one’s buying it. Kelly has a great voice that she wastes on trash and she can’t stand alone.
I don’t usually agree with you but you’re 100% right in this case. She’s trying to sell sex because it worked one time with ‘Motivation’ so now she’s gonna make the mistake of trying to do that over and over again. I actually like Kelly, I just wish she could step her music game up.
Why direct some much hate towards her.at least these days she is steping up.thats more than i can say for beyonce
I love beyonce but her absent from any chat is not good for her and her fans.can’t wait for her next ablum, hope it will be real soon
TRENT U R SOOOOOO LATE FOR THAT COMMENT ON KELLY……Destiny’s Child ad lib singer THAT WAS SO WRONG.
I’m still rooting for Kelly and all but instead of releasing album titles and all that jazz, she needs to scrap Ice and pick a better first single and promote it properly because Ice went quicker than it came. That’s not good at all.
I like Kelly, but that album title is too grandiose. She can’t back it up. She’s setting herself up for ridicule.
Back at the beginning of the “Here I Am” I used to root for Ms Rowland, but I’ve now concluded that if she don’t care about here career, why should I?
If there was any chance this album was worth the listen, this song wouldn’t of even made the cut yet alone been the lead single… Next.
I’m not here for Kelly because she’s not here for music or her fans. If she wants to sing background hooks on the latest coon-tunes, then so be it.
