Bassey recorded the themes of the ‘James Bond’ films ‘Goldfinger’ (1964), ‘Diamonds are Forever’ (1971) and ‘Moonraker’ (1979) as the only solo artist to record the movie title tracks on three occasions. Additionally, ‘Goldfinger’ was the first ‘James Bond’ song to crack to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 when it peaked at #8 in March 1965.
