Did you know that Shirley Bassey has recorded the coveted ‘James Bond’ theme song more than any other solo artist?

Bassey recorded the themes of the ‘James Bond’ films ‘Goldfinger’ (1964), ‘Diamonds are Forever’ (1971) and ‘Moonraker’ (1979) as the only solo artist to record the movie title tracks on three occasions. Additionally, ‘Goldfinger’ was the first ‘James Bond’ song to crack to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 when it peaked at #8 in March 1965.

Of all the ‘James Bond’ themes, Bassey’s ‘Goldfinger’ and ‘Diamonds are Forever’ are currently ranked as the #6 and #11 best-performers in the history of the Hot 100. Watch her perform the former song below:
