Did you know that Chaka Khan’s younger sister Yvonne Stevens is also a recording artist?

Known by her stage name of Taka Boom, Khan’s sister enjoyed a moderately successful music career in the late 1970s and 1980s. In fact, she topped the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart in 1979 with ‘Night Dancin”.

Boom and Khan rarely collaborated and one of their few recordings together was ‘Rock Yo World’, on which the later reportedly performed background vocals. Listen to the song below:
