Ne-Yo

Almost all of the music that we’ve heard from Ne-Yo’s upcoming ‘R.E.D.’ album has been lacklustre at best but today a ray of light has pierced the black clouds of Hurricane Sandy. ‘Should Be You’ is a new song that will appear on the record, and it features rappers Fabolous and Diddy.

Is ‘Should Be You’ another ode to diluted Dance music similar to ‘Forever Now’? Thankfully, it is the complete opposite. In fact, the song is a groovy Hip-Hop/R&B number. Listen to it below:

‘Should Be You’ isn’t the best song in the world but it is a welcome change from what he calls good Dance music. Still, ‘R.E.D.’ is clearly one of Ne-Yo’s worst albums to date and I will happily leave it in the bargain bin. It’s such a shame because he is incredibly talented and capable of much better.
