Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have been denying for weeks that they are currently involved in a bitter feud. However, during the ‘American Idol‘ auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina, the wigs hit the fan as Minaj dared to threaten the head diva with a “knock out”.

Yes, you read that correctly. One of Minaj’s multiple personalities took control of her warped mind and she cracked under the pressure after assuming that she was somehow on the same level as Carey on the ‘American Idol’ panel. What followed was a round of cursing, yelling and hood antics.

  I have to speak objectively. First of all, as soon as I saw the title of the article I knew it was going to be crazy. Now on one hand we only have the side we saw in the video. Which is Minaj ranting & cursing & whatnot. Now I will admit the problem with this is that it’s very one-sided. If we take the time to try and look at this situation from both perspectives, once again it could’ve gone either way. What I will say I agree with is that someone on the AI team is trying to generate mad publicity & this clip is that meal ticket to just that. Now with that being said I’ll say what I’ve been really wanting to get to since I’ve read some of the comments on this article. Let’s just be unbiased for a moment & take a step back: are they really on the same level as far their entire careers at this point & time? No. As far as the entertainment industry is concerned Nicki is still a baby in her career compared to Mariah & has not yet achieved the status that Mariah has achieved. Mariah has been in the game far longer & has alot more to show for her 20+ career in the business. Nicki is still building up her career as far as singles/albums, awards, award shows, concert tours etc, etc & years in the business go; but time is something you just can’t buy. I digress,videos like this are extremely one sided & always look bad. Of course which leads me to my next point. You never, a thousand times ever curse your elders, especially someone that has done something way longer than you knows the ropes fairly much more than you do & undoubtedly has a stronger force of fans than you do. Pulling stunts like that especially in the music industry is a big no no & costs you all but stans for fans really quickly. Now before Barbz & Kens try to come for me, is 20+ years in the business a reason to act up whenever you please? No. Is your reputation for being a diva either? No. I do have to say that if Mariah did continually come for her then I do see why she would snap & rightfully so but pause because I’m not defending Minajs actions especially as a grown woman, there is always a better way to handle a situation like that. Cursing & ranting & threats just isn’t the way to do it. I would’ve rathered Minaj just get up and walk out if she felt as if she couldn’t take anymore. Lastly, I do have to reinterate my conclusion of you just don’t disrespect your elders no matter the circumstance (once again, get up walk away.) These are just examples but worse case scenario that would be like Mariah going after Aretha or Patti. Ke$ha or Lady GaGa going after either Cher or Madonna. One Direction going after The Beatles. Lil Wayne or Drake going for Jay-Z or Biggie or Tupac. Chris Brown or Trey Songz going for Al Green or Luther. As you can see, the possibilities are endless & I could go on but the point is it doesn’t look good in the end no matter what happened. I’m not excusing either woman for their behavior, because anyone can clearly see this was uploaded for a sure, secure boost in ratings and all I’m saying is in the end AI knew what they were getting into by adding both of them on the panel & the entire thing could’ve been handled better.

  for everyone that keeps saying: “oh, Mariah’s known to be a bitch! she’s this & she’s that”…..it’s weird b/c i don’t hear her counterparts saying that. in fact, where did that shit come from anyway? the most common thing you hear people say after meeting her is: “oh, wow. she was/is so down-to-earth. it felt like i was talking to one of my girlfriends”. hell, Nicki said after working w/ Mariah on the “Up Out My Face” song. so let’s not assume that Mariah was just all of a sudden deciding to be a total bitch. something clearly happened b/w the two prior to AI. personally, i think Nicki felt intimidated coming into the situation & probably felt some type of way with regards to the reports of Mariah’s reaction to Nicki joining the panel. she probably already came into it weary of Mariah. & now anything Mariah says/does she takes personally. it happens. & it would make her overly sensitive to everything MC-related.
