Rihanna Reveals Title & Cover Of New Album

The cover of Rihanna’s new album, ‘Unapologetic’.

Similar to the arrival of a woman’s monthly cramps, the release of Rihanna’s albums seems to adhere to a fixed period, namely during the second half of November. So, now that she is equipped with a new single and hairstyle, it came as no surprise today when the Bajan unveiled the title and cover of her latest LP, which will be released later this year.

Preceded by the single ‘Diamonds’, ‘Unapologetic’ is expected to hit stores by the end of November. The record stands as Rihanna’s seventh album in as many years, following her ‘Talk That Talk’ album, which has sold over 1.01 million copies in the US since being released on November 18th 2011.

Thus far, ‘Diamonds’ has peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 but performed far better in other territories. In fact, the song recently became Rihanna’s seventh #1 single on the Official UK Singles Chart and narrowly beat Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ in the race to the summit of the lineup.

  I mean I like the idea of having words all over her body BUT she could have done it in a better way. Plus, I think a black background would have made it look even better. HOWEVER, It’s nowhere near as bad as Nicki’s new cover.

  The album cover looks cheap & tacky to me especially with the writing all over her body. It looks like something I could have done in photoshop. But I’m sure her brain dead stans will love it since they love everything their manufactured ‘Queen’ puts out. Blah.

  Nothing Rihanna does surprises me anymore. The albums, the singles, the art covers…nothing. I respect her as an “artist” (in her case I use that term extremely loosely.) But alas it’s the usual sell sex, sex, sex. And it’ll be a hit because my general doesn’t know how to think for their damn selves. I’m going to go weep for humanity now. .-.

  that cover is pure BULLSHIT. Isn’t it the same pose and facial expression she used for the cover of the “russian roulette” single? She really need to take a break cuz this ain’t cutting it at all. That shit looks so low budget smh. And i’m really over seeing her body. Like we know you sexy and all but put some damn clothes on ppl ain’t going to love u any less. sorry but i’m not feeling that and i sure ain’t gonna spend money for that.
