Did you know that Jazz legend Peggy Lee co-wrote and performed most of the songs on the ‘Lady & the Tramp’ soundtrack, and even appeared in the movie?
The animated ‘Lady & the Tramp’ film was released via Disney in 1955. Lee co-wrote most of the songs on the accompanying soundtrack and performed several numbers in the cartoon, including ‘He’s a Tramp’, ‘La La Lu’, ‘The Siamese Cat Song’ and ‘What Is a Baby?’.
Among Lee’s characters in ‘Lady & the Tramp’ were the mischievous siamese cats and a white dog, both of which featured telling blue eyes. Watch Lee record ‘He’s a Tramp’ as well as scenes from the film below:
