During Chris Brown’s visit to ‘Big Boy’s Neighborhood’ where he spoke about his relationship, the R&B/Pop star gave his fans something else to talk about other than young love. Revealing that he has a another new album in the works, Brown shared the first song off the project, ‘Nobody’s Perfect’.
Brown’s new album will be his third in less than three years. His previous effort, ‘Fortune’, has sold only 348K copies in the US since being released on July 3rd and is currently ranked as the 55th best-selling album of 2012. Listen to ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ below:
‘Nobody’s Perfect’ is just another generic Dance-styled song with thick auto-tune and cliche synths. Of course, that is not surprising since Brown has not given himself the time to grow and is simply pushing out songs in an effort to keep his name on the charts.
Really, ‘F.A.M.E.’ was a solid body of work but Brown has not experimented with his sound since that record dropped in 2011. With the exception of ‘Turn Up the Music’ and ‘Trumpet Lights’ on ‘Fortune’, most of his recent material is uninspired and redundant.
What do I suggest? Brown needs to take a break from the music scene, live life and get new inspiration for his music. If not then his sales will continue to slump and his radio success will end as soon as the Dance craze has passed.
