New Video: Alicia Keys – ‘Girl On Fire (Ft. Nicki Minaj)’

Nicki Minaj stars in Alicia Keys’ new ‘Girl on Fire (Inferno)’ video.

Alicia Keys promised that she would release a new video for the Inferno version of ‘Girl on Fire’ and she did just that a few moment sago. However, how does the production, which features an appearance by Nicki Minaj, compare to the original?

Well, the Inferno mix of the ‘Girl on Fire’ video is not much different that the first cut. In fact, Minaj randomly appears in front of a green screen for her added verse, similar to the way she did little enhance the original version of the song. Watch the video for yourself below:

What was the exact purpose of releasing two versions of the ‘Girl on Fire’ video if the only difference between the two was a short cameo by Minaj and her wig? Were we supposed to be impressed by the fact that she chose black hair instead of her usual pink? Keys really needs to reevaluate her promotional campaign because everything about her new ‘Girl on Fire’ project seems quite pointless.

  Personally this is my favorite Alicia Keys video that she’s done & GOF is one of my favorite songs right now. I’ve enjoyed every offering from the album thus far, I hope she does well.
