New Video: Rihanna – ‘Diamonds’

Rihanna stars in her new ‘Diamonds’ video.

Rihanna certainly understands the importance of timely promotion. With her new single, ‘Diamonds’, primed to take over the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, the superstar has released the video for the song to give it a much needed push on the chart.

Last evening, Rihanna impressively performed ‘Diamonds’ at the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She will deliver another rendition of the tune on ‘Saturday Night Live’ along with another new song on November 10th. Watch the video for ‘Diamonds’ below:

Once again, Rihanna has knocked it out the park and scored a home run with this ‘Diamonds’ video. The visuals were stunning and the concept was clever, especially with the use of the horses a metaphor of an unbridled relationship.

If this video doesn’t propel ‘Diamonds’ to the top of the Hot 100 then nothing else will. Honestly, following only ‘We Found Love’, this ranks as one of Rihanna’s best videos. So, this song may be her first song that deserves the #1 spot on the charts.

  I got to say after seeing this video, I am becoming a believer of RiRi. RiRi vocals on this song is really good. I like the song and video, she appears to be taking some risk vocally, I loved the high note near the end. I am also feeling “No Body Business with Chris Brown. Not a fan of Chris Brown, but I like the vocals between both parties.

  *sigh* I guess i’m in the minority. 3 minutes in I still was looking for ” the life” it supposedly gives. Rihanna videos are usually creative. I watched a good 3 and a half minutes and zoned in and out towards the end and I have no memory of this video. Judging by the snippet review of what seemed like an “ok” album ( and I use the term loosely), and the reviews of this ok video……something seems fi$$hy lol (jk).

  nice video, great album (from the snippets i’ve heard) but i’m not sure it’s enough promotion to put Unapologetic to #1. it DESERVES to go to #1 but i’m not sure it’s enough promo. it seems like it could have used another month of solid promo and preparation. i predict Unapologetic opens at #3. it deserves to go to #1 (it’s definitely one of her best quality products) but i am not sure it will. this promo feels rushed to me.

    When it comes to promoting an arti$t giving favorable reviews just becau$e it takes away from that and you become like the rest which is what separates Trent. It’s not what i’m use to from Trent. If you like it, you like it. If you hate it, you hate it. Say it like you mean it, or hold back. As long as you post the videos, and do the writeup the check should clear ! So far Trent has been 100 so I can’t see him getting gully now. Therefor I won’t accuse him of writing favorable reviews for cash !

  omg my expectations were so high after reading this review and that video was .. ummm … well let me say we found love had amazing epic feel and played like a short movie that sucked u in but this .. this is just a fashion shoot with nice shots of a horse .. i was not blown away even half of the way i was with we found love ughhh i mean dnt get me wrong some of the imagery is beautiful and rihanna looks great in it but that basically sums up the video .. i duno but i did just listen to the album snippets and they sound really good
