Rihanna has scored eleven #1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and broken countless records but a chart-topping set on the Billboard 200 has always eluded her. Now, seven albums into her short career, sales predictions indicate that the drought will finally end as ‘Unapologetic’ will debut at the summit of the lineup.
‘Unapologetic’ is expected to enter the Billboard 200 at #1 next week with 240K-260K copies sold. Those figures far exceed the 207K copies that her former fastest-selling album, ‘Loud’, posted upon its debut in November 2010. Keyshia Cole, on the other hand, won’t be as fortunate as her Pop music counterpart. Her ‘Woman to Woman’ album will debut at the low end of the Billboard 200 top 10 with 75K-85K. That’s right, the LP will sell little over half of the 128K copies than its predecessor, ‘Calling All Hearts’, sold in its opening week in December 2010.
Finally, Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Greatest Hits – Chapter 1′ is on track to sell a modest 45-50K copies. The compilation is the ‘American Idol’ alum’s first hits set since her debut on the show over ten years ago. Don’t you just feel old by reading that sentence?
