The 2012 Christmas in Washington special aired last evening on TNT and artists, both young and old, rang in the holidays at the even hosted by US President Barack Obama and his family. Among those acts were Diana Ross and Demi Lovato, the latter of whom butchered Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’.

Holiday music is usually about spreading cheer and love but Lovato sang ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ as though she was a crazed ex-girlfriend trying to force her lover to get back with her. “You love me and you know it!” – Erika Christensen to a man who refused to return her love in the movie ‘Swimfan’.

Thankfully, Ross and the inescapable PSY provided enough joy to balance the mood of the evening. Watch their Christmas in Washington performances below:
