Thankfully, Fantasia failed to kill herself during the lowest point of her life in 2010 but she may have just committed career suicide via Instagram. While flaunting her newly slender body, the singer made the foolish decision to rant about the legalisation of marijuana use and gay marriage, alienating a large group of her fans by claiming that “the world has gone mad.”

Using the bible as the basis of her views, Fantasia suggested that she should not be judged because there are far more important topics on which people should focus. Perhaps I missed that class of Sunday school but where exactly is gay marriage and legalising weed discussed in the bible?

Of course, Fantasia reserves the right preach the word of the holy scripture because she is a shining example of a woman of faith. After all, I’m sure one of Mary’s cousins were romantically involved with a married man with whom she had a child and aborted another, tried to kill herself and covered her body in tattoos. As Chris Brown said, “please don’t judge me.”
