Christina Aguilera’s ‘Beautiful’ single cover

Did you know that Christina Aguilera’s signature song, ‘Beautiful’, did not top the Billboard Hot 100?

‘Beautiful’ peaked at #2 on the Hot 100 and remained in the top 10 of the chart for 12 weeks. The success of the song was fuelled by massive airplay rather than single sales and it has sold less than 1.3 million copies in the US since being release in November 2002.

In addition to notable Pop culture impact and its iconic status with the LGBTQIA, ‘Beautiful’ earned Aguilera a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2004. It was also nominated for Song of the Year. Watch Aguilera perform the song at the 2004 Grammy Awards below:
