When most artists experience a major commercial disaster, they usually disappear from the media for at least a year then release a new album with a different perspective. Nelly Furtado, on the other hand, refuses to stop beating a dead, rotting horse, and she continued to promote her failed ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ with a performance on ‘The Voice (Germany)’.
Backed by contestant James Borges, Furtado performed her latest single, ‘Waiting for the Night’. Perhaps she chose to appear on the German version of ‘The Voice’ because that country is the only place on Earth where she has managed to score a recent top 30 hit as ‘Spirit Indestructible’ peaked at #23.
In case you didn’t know, ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ debuted at #79 on the US Billboard 200 and sold 6K copies in its first week. I has yet to top 30K in sales. Watch Furtado’s performance on ‘The Voice (Germany)’ below:
