Rihanna performs on ‘The Voice’.

‘The Voice’ is said to be the home of the most talented singers of any reality show on the air today. So, just imagine the magnitude of the irony that occurred earlier this evening when Rihanna opened the series’ season finale with a shaky performance of ‘Diamonds’.

Sporting hair similar to her ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ era and vocals to match, Rihanna dodged the ‘big’ notes of ‘Diamonds’ during a rather underwhelming performance. On the bright side, Christina Aguilera didn’t storm the stage to take the song to the other extreme of wild over-singing.

Unlike some of her previous performances of ‘Diamonds’, Rihanna avoided the key notes of the song on ‘The Voice’ and was altogether very boring. She has a pretty voice but without the dramatics of a major stage, Rihanna still hasn’t learned how to keep people interested with serious vocal skill alone. Oh sorry, silly me. I just remembered that she doesn’t have any.
