Rihanna performs on ‘The X Factor (UK)’.

Emeli Sande wasn’t the only superstar to perform on the finale episode of ‘The X Factor (UK)’ today. Rihanna also appeared on the show and although she certainly couldn’t compete with her UK counterpart even if she stopped smoking for a year, the Bajan was still in fine form.

Dressed in a sexy white number, Rihanna performed an impressive rendition of her new UK single, ‘Stay’, which will be released on January 7th, before launching into ‘We Found Love’. Watch her hype the crowd on ‘X Factor (UK)’ below:

Rihanna has certainly found the right songwriters and vocal producers for this ‘Unapologetic’ era because she has thus far managed to at least match the recorded versions of her songs in her live shows. Still, we can’t overlook the messy second half of her ‘We Found Love’ performance.

Was the last note of ‘We Found Love’ supposed to be a belt or just a wild yell? Honestly, found myself having horrible Christina Aguilera ‘The Voice’ flashbacks. Let’s just assume that Rihanna was simply having fun as we give her the benefit of the doubt.
