Emeli Sande was overlooked by the Grammy Awards voters but is a favourite to win big at the 2013 Brit Awards. The singer-songwriter has landed four nominations for the February 20th show, leading the pack of top acts, including Rihanna, One Direction and Coldplay.
Sande has scored nods in the British Female, British Single (“Next to Me”) and British Album fields. Rihanna will represent the West Indies by way of the US in the International Female category whereas her clone, Rita Ora, nabbed a slot for British Breakthrough Act.
