Alicia Keys lets loose at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards.

Well, here is something you don’t see everyday. Dressed like The Nutcracker with some Celie-styled hair – yes, from The Color Purple – Alicia Keys tried something a bit different this evening when she performed at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards at attempted to do a bit of choreography.

Keys started off slow and generally on-key with a rendition of “Girl on Fire” before the beat dropped, and she started grooving to “New Day”. However, her steps were far from those of Beyonce and Ciara. Rather, imagine Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed” choreography with a few rounds of Jersey Shore first-pumping.
