Barack Obama and Beyonce

If the rumours are true then Beyonce definitely isn’t smart enough to hold a political office but she will get dangerously close to the doors of the White House on January 21st. Along with Kelly Clarkson, ten-word vocabulary singer will perform at the inauguration parade of US President Barack Obama.

USA Today reports that Beyonce will sing “The Star Spangled Banner” at the public Obama inauguration. Clarkson, on the other hand, will perform “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee”, which was famously belted by Aretha Franklin and her legendary hat or wonders at the inauguration in 2009. FInally, James Taylor will grace the Capitol steps with a rendition of “America the Beautiful”.

Beyonce is no stranger to Obama. In addition to attending and even hosting several fundraisers as part of his reelection campaign, she also sang “At Last” at the 2009 Inauguration Ball. Watch her showing below:
