Later today, Beyonce will have the honor of performing the US national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner”, for President Barack Obama at his inauguration parade. Yet, many of us are wondering if she will sing live or mime the tune as she did in the past. Well, judging by this audio recording of her rehearsal for the show, she will leave her backtrack at home.

Taking a more restrained approach to the usually over-sung tune, Beyonce glided through “The Star Spangled Banner” as she monitored the levels of her mic during the late night soundcheck. If your pay close attention, you should realise that she lowered the key from her 2004 Super Bowl backtrack performance.
