Machel Montano and Super Blue

As you know by now, I’m a Trinidadian and with our Carnival season approaching its peak, I’m literally foaming at the mouth with excitement. The Parade of the Bands be hosted on February 11th and 12th, and artists from across the local entertainment industry are preparing to compete for the Road March title, including legends Machel Montano and Super Blue.

Montano and the much older Blue represent the very best of their generations, and each is regarded as the King of Soca. Yet, who really owns the title of the genre’s undisputed ruler? That’s what we’ll find out during the coming weeks as Montano’s “Float” and Blue’s “Fantastic Friday” clash in an all out battle for airplay!

Debates have been raging via social media and radio about who has the better song so this is the perfect time to present the choice to you. Is Montano’s “Float” better than “Fantastic Friday” or does Blue reign supreme? Listen to both songs below and cast your votes while I use them as part of my aerobics workout plan:
