Beyonce wasn’t the only diva granted the privilege of performing at the West Front during the inauguration parade for US President Barack Obama. Kelly Clarkson also stood in front of thousands as she belted a rendition of the national standard “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee”.

Clarkson thundered through her performance of “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee” and almost made Aretha Franklin’s rendition of the tune at the same event in 2009 forgettable. Okay, that was an exaggeration because even if Clarkson came out on the back of winged pony, nothing could erase the magnitude of Franklin’s legendary hat.
