Mariah Carey confirms Nicki Minaj feud to Entertainment Tonight.

When you’re the best-selling female artist of all time, other singers are just subjects in your court. In fact, you wouldn’t waste your time by arguing with the commoners of your kingdom because your security will handle such insignificant issues for you. Just ask Mariah Carey to explain how she dealt with Nicki Minaj as a nifty case study.

Carey recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight to promote the new season of American Idol, which premieres on January 16th. During her chat with former 106 & Park host Rocsi Diaz, she was asked to explain her “messy” feud with Minaj and how the moment affected her life on the show.

“My thing is that I have to be myself and if that means that in that moment I don’t hear you, I don’t see you and you don’t exist to me at this moment, then that’s what it is,” Carey stated calmly. In other words, why get her ensemble soiled by interacting with a peasant? That’s why she has security.
