The producers at MTV have been catering to the silly viewers of shows such as Jersey Shore and Teen Mom for so long that they’ve completely lost touch fans of quality music. Indeed, continuing to prove that the network has nothing to do with promoting real talent, they invited Ne-Yo and Rita Ora to sing generic filth at MTV’s Club NYE 2013.

There certainly were better ways to welcome the new year than with Ne-Yo’s Sesame Street singalong “Let Me Love You (Until You Change the Channel Learn to Love Yourself)” and Rita Ora’s monster hit “How We Do (Party)”. Unfortunately, the MTV staff were probably too high on spray tan oil to notice.
