It’s a good thing that many of us don’t have lives and chose to stay home on a Friday evening because Destiny’s Child just took the blogosphere by surprise with a new song! “Nuclear” will appear on the group’s upcoming Love Songs compilation and it is a pleasant reminder of their trio’s unified talent.
Destiny’s Child will perform “Nuclear” as part of a medley during Beyonce’s set at the 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show. If they choose to sing live at the event, then viewers around the world will be treated to slick harmonies before Beyonce kicks her peers off the stage and reclaims the spotlight for herself.
Listen to Destiny’s Child’s “Nuclear” below:
It is highly unlikely that “Nuclear” would be a hit if it was released as a single but it definitely makes a solid album track to close off Love Songs. Also, is it just me or does this song entail a bit of Solange’s style of vocal arrangements? Either way, it’s great to hear Destiny’s Child back on the same track as a group, even if they followed their usual formula of a Beyonce intro and main vocal, Kelly Rowland second verse and Michelle Williams bridge.
