In case you didn’t know, Prince is one of the most talented artists to ever strut across a stage in a pair of pumps. So, just imagine the excitement that erupted across the industry when this legend finally embraced the internet, launched his own website and released a new song called “Screw Driver”.

Prince is clearly enjoying the spotlight with his recent cover of Billboard magazine, news that he will be honored with the Icon Award at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards and “Screw Driver”. However, don’t expect him to sound dated or out of touch. His skills are sharper than ever!

If “Screw Driver” was released as an official single, it would be a hit! It’s edgy yet radio-friendly and artistic yet not too abstract. Prince really understands how to adapt the ever-changing music scene without ever sounding desperate to keep up with a younger crowd. Perhaps he should work with his “sister” Mariah Carey and share some of those tips.
