Marsha Ambrosius appears in her new “Cold War” video.

Well that didn’t take very long. Just yesterday, Marsha Ambrosius released a preview of her new video for “Cold War” and now the full cut of the clip has premiered. Channeling the hit series The Wire, the production introduces us to the acting side of the singer-songwriter.

Unfortunately, Ambrosius’ acting skills aren’t as sharp as her abilities with the pen. That doesn’t really matter, though, because unlike many of her R&B peers who choose to pose for a collection of pretty poses in front the camera, Ambrosius relies on a video with a plot to drive the message of “Cold War” home.

Expect Ambrosius’ new album, Lovers & Friends, to be arrive later this year. Until then, watch her video for “Cold War” below:
