Ne-Yo’s most recent club hit, “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself)”, was garbage and only gained momentum on the charts because the singalong melody appealed to the Sesame Street mentality of the iTunes generation. However, the song’s remix, which features French Montana, is very different and he has released a new video to spread the word.
This “Let Me Love You” remix was put together by producer Rico Love, hence the repetitive, thumping beat and the strong reverb on the instrumental. Furthermore, the video features a bevy of beautiful women because, as we all know, Ne-Yo loves the ladies. Watch the clip below:
If Ne-Yo took the time to rerecord his vocals then they wouldn’t sound so disjointed from the track. Honestly, the melody of his arrangement just doesn’t suit the flow of the record and it actually clashes with the timing of the beat, unlike Montana, whose verse suits it perfectly. Perhaps the art of the remix isn’t as easy to master as we thought. Ne-Yo has nice shades, though.
